The multitranche financing facility program aims to improve basic urban services and promote the local economy in priority aimag (province) capitals and soum (subunit of an aimag) centers of Mongolia. Description

The transaction technical assistance will help the government to prepare the program as it is complex and multisector requiring full scale due diligence in technical, economic, financial, social, resettlement, environmental, and institutional aspects together with in-depth local urban and socioeconomic assessment.

The consulting firm has been recruited and has commenced services in August 2018. The inception report was submitted and approved in October 2018. All individual consultants have not yet been completely recruited as the scope of the individual consultants to be engaged outside the firm has been adjusted and revised. Work allocation for the individual consultants have been carried out by consulting firm. Two individual consultants were recruited, an international climate specialist and a national procurement specialist. The TA completion date has been extended until 30 June 2021 to complete all TA related activities, assist in the preparation of reports for the proposed project.
